BE YOUR OWN PUBLICIST” TELECOURSE
Gift Yourself One of The Most Important Elements to Your Message

WHAT: We all share the same vision of our desire to evoke positive change on this planet. We all know THE TIME IS NOW. Knowing your message is one thing, understanding how to reach your audience is another. Part of your audience is the media. Learning how to get your message out to the marketplace is essential to creating this change. If you are ready to launch your dynamite project, book, tv show, film, non-profit/for-profit, business/organization, whatever the case may be…this is the place for you.

Spring into action and learn the art of crafting, positioning and pitching. On a week by week basis, you will learn key elements to your success in getting your message out. One and ½ hours per call with an added benefit (to complete by the end of the 4 sessions) of two, 30-minute personal coaching calls and one press release edit per participant. You will discover the essence of your brand and your key message points. You know your product, but we all know that knowing your audience is also the key to successful messaging. In this training you will learn how to “pitch” to the media, determining the important points to highlight when pitching, where to go for local and national media lists, (a strategy that will save you time and money), how to build your own personal lists, ways in which to present your material and the unique style in which you introduce yourself to become unforgettable in a reporters eye.

Highly interactive, Lisa will work with your projects and shepherd you step by step through the process. Lisa will give feedback, brainstorm ideas and engage you in thought provoking inquiry. Lisa will give you sound and proven advice to promote your unique message, business, cause-related project, non-profit/for-profit…whatever your product.

WHO: As an expert in the game of “raising consciousness” Lisa became the publicist and brand specialist representing clients who, in her own words, “were called to the voice of their deepest calling”. Her unique niche and expertise spanned way beyond the confines of publicity and marketing. In a time where “social causes” were just scratching the surface in becoming household names, Lisa also became known as the bridge for messages that were ready to cross over into the mainstream marketplace, often pushing the status quo envelope. Whether it be a company, non-profit, book, TV, music or film project, her specialty is taking those messages and turning them into a concrete mainstream presence. WHY: As change agents and people who are committed to making a difference in the world, you will be surrounded by other like-minded individuals interested in promoting their cause and body of work. Most of us are fantastic at coming up with ideas, understanding that we are all connected in this web of “awareness raising” and moved to step into THAT which we came here to do. Join other like-minded individuals and be inspired to ACT NOW. The world needs to hear your message RIGHT NOW!

MORE: You will learn about Branding and Positioning. It’s the imprint in which you leave your audience regarding who you are in the world; Your cornerstones of belief (in relation to your key messaging points); What is the snapshot, your “personal creed”?

You will learn about Image Development. Image development is the tie in after the branding and positioning becomes clear. This has to do with the way your image will be branded from a design standpoint. The look and feel on your website. The consistency throughout your collateral (website, flyers, press/marketing materials, stationary, etc.)

You will learn about a Platform. A platform is a place in which to present all aspects of a message. It is most likely a website that contains all the different components to who you are, what your project, service, business, product is offering and how it will best serve your audience. This includes everything from developing related events, speaking appearances and media outreach.

You will learn about Collateral. Collateral consists of several different elements, including press releases, press kits, marketing kits, websites and anything that represents your message in a written/audio/video format.

You will learn about Press Releases. Learning how to craft your message is an art. Conveying your message to magnetize a local, regional, national or international appeal will continue to increase awareness week by week, month by month.

You will learn about Business Strategy. Business strategy is a vital component to marketing your ideas, business, project or organization. It’s important to evaluate each area of your platform so that you are properly marketing yourself in these independent arenas. It’s vital to be an active participant and be engaged with your process in this competitive marketplace.

You will learn about Media Outreach/Pitching. An essential part in getting your message to the public eye, there are many ways in which to do this. Many people believe strongly that their message is enough to warrant a story. Unfortunately, this alone is not enough. There needs to be a “story” coupled with your amazing message, otherwise the media is not interested. Creating something that is “relevant news” is the essential key that will inspire a reporter to pick up your story. Then “pitching” it is an art. Pitching takes practice and is typically done thru written, verbal and/or video
